What Are The Methods To Optimize The Performance Of Submersible Aerators?

The submersible aerator is composed of submersible electric pump and jet pump, which can stir and oxygenate the water at the same time. It can not only obtain higher oxygen absorption rate, but also has the advantage that the impeller is not blocked. It has a strong unidirectional liquid flow, resulting in effective convection circulation. The motor load changes little with the water level, so the installation is simple.

The aerator uses the motor to directly drive the impeller to rotate and generate centrifugal force, so that the nearby low pressure is sucked into the water flow. At the same time, vacuum will also be generated at the impeller inlet to suck in air. In the air mixing room, after air and water are mixed, due to the strong water jet, under the centrifugal force.

Under the action of, the air is rapidly discharged, forming an effective convection cycle, and the air is divided into many small bubbles. As bubbles rise slowly, oxygen in the atmosphere dissolves in water. The oxygen transfer rate per unit horsepower is higher than that of other types of aerators due to small and uncountable bubbles and large surface area.

The aerator is used in the aeration tank and aerated grit chamber of the sewage treatment plant to oxidize and mix the mixed liquid of sewage sludge, as well as biochemical treatment of sewage or oxidation of aquaculture pond.

Based on the modeling of computational fluid dynamics software, the model defects of the guide device, an important part of the aerator, in the product design process were analyzed, a new calculation model was proposed and established, and the working conditions of different guide devices before and after optimization were simulated using the new model, which preliminarily verified the correctness of the optimization of the centrifugal aerator.
